Tabs and balances

What a balance means and how charges add up.

Each member has a tab — a running balance of what they owe or are in credit for. Charging a sale to a member adds to what they owe; recording a payment brings it back down.

Reading a balance

Owes — the member owes the club money.
Credit — the club owes the member (money to spend).
Settled — the tab is square.

The till always shows these in plain words rather than a plus or minus number, so there’s no confusion at the bar.

Showing balances at the bar

By default a member’s balance is not shown on the shared till screen. You can turn it on in Settings → Till if you want it visible while serving.
